Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace Issues SHOP IV&V Request For Proposals
LITTLE ROCK, ARK. (December 5, 2014) The Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services for the state-based Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP). The purpose of the RFP is to obtain a qualified vendor to provide IV&V services for the state-based SHOP for the State of Arkansas
The Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace Board of Directors voted in September 2014 to operate a state-run Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) in 2015 for coverage beginning January 1, 2016.

Background: Act 1500 of the 2013 Regular Session of the 89th Arkansas General Assembly created the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace to establish a private, nonprofit, health insurance marketplace for Arkansas.
